So now there is something in common between all Shapers and Ronaldinho. Its NUTRILITE!

During the recent Diamond Invitational to Spain, the Diamonds had the exclusive chance of stepping onto Real Madrid's football field in Estadio de Chamartin and take a penalty shot into its goal post. Great News from Artistry, Nutrilite and many more!

Amway communicates with its distributor force regularly by conducting a Direct Distributor Forum. During these forums, Amway's staff from different departments will provide updates on products, sales, marketing and other issues that affects distributors.

There were many great and exciting news which were announced during last night DD Forum.

Around the corner will be the Rally which will be held at Suntec City on the 26th March. One of the guest speakers are Triple Diamond Dr. Wong and Cecilia.

The 6 months Easy Payment Scheme (EPS) is now going to be all year round. It means distributors can purchase e-Spring water purifier, Atmosphere air purifier and iCook cookware in 6 months interest free payment via credit card from UOB, POSB and DBS.

You may have heard that Sandra Bullock is the spokesperson for Artistry. Another exciting news from Artistry is a new Enhanced Pure White Range with floral fragrance that will be available in April. We've tried the sample during the forum and we believe that everyone will love it.

On top of that, in October, Amway will launch the Artistry Beauty Program. High end machines that are used in the Artistry Beauty Institute will be brought into Singapore to provide hair and skin analysis to distributors. There will also be a Colour Experimentation Corner at the warehouse so that distributors can try the new range of colours from Artistry!

There are many other exciting news but I think for all those who love soccer, this will be the best of them all.

A recent study in Denmark demonstrates the value that clean air in the home or other closed environments has on healthy heart function. In the study, cardiovascular differences were measured when participants breathed recirculated air purified with a HEPA air filter and then without the HEPA filter.Working from Copenhagen’s Institute of Public Health, Professor Steffen Loft, MD, DMSc, enlisted the help of 21 healthy couples aged from 60 to 75, all non-smokers, who lived near busy public roadways, in a two-part study.
During the first part of the study, the home of each couple was outfitted with a standard air purifier equipped with a HEPA (high efficiency particle air) filter which was allowed to operate for 48 hours. During the second part of the study, the air filter was used, again for 48 hours, but without the HEPA filter.
Measurements of each person’s MVF (microvascular function) were taken after each 48-hour period. Impaired function, or damage, to these tiny blood vessels is a known predictor of cardiovascular disease.
Continuous measurements of the air particles in the home were taken throughout both phases of the experiment. The HEPA filter removed about 60% more of the air particles, measured from coarse to ultrafine, than the air purifier did when operating without it.

Loft claims his team was “heartened and surprised” by the impressive improvement in MVF when the HEPA filter was used. Overall rate of improvement for study participants was measured at 8.1%.
Full results of the study, which indicates that the fewer the air particles in recirculated indoor air the better the MVF and thus heart health, are published in a February issue of the American journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, a publication of the American Thoracic Society.

FTC goes to AMWAY Warehouse!!!

First time ever, FTC group organize a tour to our AMWAY (Singapore) Warehouse.

The objective is to orientate our new distributors and familiarize with the facilities that the warehouse offers.

Surprisingly, the response was good. There was a lot of interaction between the distributors and PDD Rafidah, our tour lead.

They learnt a lot from the tour, such as how to order, collect their items and getting to know the AMWAY staffs and understand how close the business relationship between distributors and AMWAY.

A Winner's Attitude

What does it take to be a winner? The right attitude of course.

Winners possess the following attitude:

1) They don’t bitch, moan, whine or complain about their frustrations.

2) They have the ability to focus on long-term goals even though their short-term results are not on track. They do not take their eyes off their long-term goals and get sidetracked. (Focus)

3) They have the ability to resist the temptation to blame the economy, competition, or current market conditions (what are not within their control). Rather, they focus on what they can control. (We are not superheroes)

4) They explore different options and approaches, constantly honing their skills, reading books and articles, listening to CDs, attending seminars and rallies to keep abreast with current development. (Be a lifelong learner)

5) They focus on showing the value of their product or service instead of the price. They highlight the problems their products can address.

6) They accept the fact that they won't close every sale. Winners recognize that a series of 'no's' brings them that much closer to a 'yes' (You reap the seeds you sow)

7) They learn from every sales interaction to improve their future results. Winners take every opportunity to learn ( Unlearning to Learn)

8) They are optimistic and enthusiastic. Winners don't dwell on the past - they focus on the future because they realize that they can't change what has already happened. However, they do know that they CAN influence what happens from that point forward.

We are all winners in our own way. Persist and believe in your ability to create history for you and your generations to come. Winners never quit. Quitters never win.

After so many years being grounded with the employee attitude, it requires a great effort from me in shifting that mindset to one of a business owner.

When you work for a company, they will provide you the wages and benefits that you are entitled to. But when work for yourself.. You Are The Company..

During the recent Business Building Course session I can see that many participants are excited about the potential income in the business.

Reminder. It is only POTENTIAL and remains a potential until effort is put to work the business.

And I recall the advise of my mentor that for us to get the income, we must first GIVE UP!

Yes... GIVE UP!.

Give up that sense of entitlement. Take ownership of our future.

There is a story about a guy who loved soda, so he went into the soda business, with a product he called 3UP. It failed. So he started again with a soda and called it 4UP. It failed, too. So he decided to start his new product 5UP and worked just as hard to make it work, but sure enough it failed again. He realized that he still loved soda, so he tired again with a product named 6UP. It failed, and he give up completely.

The, few years later, someone else came up with a soda product and named it 7UP, which became a huge success.

If only.... that guy NEVER GIVE UP......

I have learned through this journey that it is natural to have Dreams and that as people grow up they tend to keep those Dreams to themselves for fear of embarassment in failing to achieve them. But if you read books written about high achievers, it is often mentioned that their success began with a Dream.

It was an interesting exercise building my DreamBook with my spouse. The challenge was not about deciding the Dreams that we should put in the DreamBook. Conflict arose when we discussed about the book to use and the manner it should be organised, issues which had nothing to do with the Dreams itself.

I realise that the challenge for most people is not to have Dreams. The difficulty in Dream building is in expressing your desires effectively and to gather positive people around and rally you towards those Dreams. Achieving your Dreams requires teamwork.

So don't build your DreamBook alone. Use the opportunity to communicate your desires to your loved ones. Find out about their Dreams as well. The blueprint of your future must include the people that you care. The love, aspirations, hopes, wishes and goals that you cast in the DreamBook will be the fuel to drive you to achieve your Dreams.
